About Journey Home
Walk With Me.
Christ-centered coaching and mentorship. We meet people where they are and walk with them.
Mission
Meet people where they are.
Walk beside them through life’s questions, struggles, and decisions. Tell the truth in love. Point them to Jesus. Equip them to stand. Stay until they can walk others home.
Vision
A world where no one walks alone.
Truth breaks through confusion. Hope overcomes despair. Purpose replaces emptiness. Lives are transformed through Jesus Christ and strengthened people strengthen others.
Seven Guiding Principles
What we stand on when life gets real.
01 · The center
Jesus is Lord.
Everything begins and ends with Christ.
02 · Tell the truth
Truth over comfort.
We will not trade truth for temporary comfort.
03 · Stay present
Presence over performance.
People are not projects. Presence comes before performance.
04 · Hold both
Accountability with compassion.
Accountability and compassion belong together.
05 · Test it
Scripture before strategy.
Scripture has the final word over strategy or preference.
06 · Seek first
Prayer before plans.
Prayer comes before movement, pressure, or plans.
07 · Look for fruit
Fruit that remains.
Growth should become visible in how we live and serve.
Who we are
Journey Home was founded by veterans John Laureda and Jonathan McRonald. Military service is part of our story, but the focus is the person in front of us. We know leadership, transition, rebuilding, and the weight of trying to find direction when life changes.
Co-Founder
John Laureda
Retired U.S. Navy Command Senior Chief
John served 21 years in the U.S. Navy and led people across operational, instructional, and senior enlisted leadership assignments. After retiring, his work continued through faith-based leadership, mentoring, writing, and helping people rebuild purpose through Jesus Christ.
His approach is simple: tell the truth in love, stay present, and do not leave people to carry hard seasons alone.
Can You Hear God? Or Is the Noise Too Loud?
Co-Founder
Jonathan McRonald
Veteran
Jonathan brings the perspective of military service, brotherhood, accountability, and walking with people through real-life decisions and change. Journey Home was built around the conviction that people need more than information. They need someone willing to stay and walk with them.
